Summer Martens is an artist from the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia. When she’s not drawing or painting, she’s out exploring hiking trails, swimming in the lakes, or snuggling her big, fluffy, orange cat, Harry.

She has loved art since she could hold a crayon. Over the years, her style has grown and evolved, with a strong focus on realism. 2020 was a turning point in her art journey. During the COVID lockdowns, Summer, still in high school, dedicated all of quarantine to honing her skills. Her piece “Davy Jones” from that time marked the beginning of her career in realism.

Today, Summer creates heartwarming custom pet drawings, produces unique portraits that blend realism and abstract colour, and sells a variety of art prints.
